T-Shirts on Line Exhibit
April 26, 2016Stop by the Center and see our new exhibit. Summer is the time we pull our favorite t-shirts from the drawer and the Sami Cultural Center is no different. We have gone to our boxes and pulled out a variety of Sami themed t-shirts that have been donated to the collection or loaned by board members to form a lighthearted summertime exhibit at the Center. Over the years there have been a number of t-shirts designed by artists in the North American Sami community—this exhibit will be an overview of some of the North American Sami history as seen through its colorful shirts. June 7 – thru September 2016. 
Don your favorite t-shirt and join us for an opening reception on Tuesday, June 7, 5-7 p.m. We’ll have an informal “fashion show” of t-shirts and a time for sharing stories about them. Light refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to everyone.
